BACH Diverter
An exclusive system designed by SAPREM for cables and conductors.
It simulates a raptor to minimize human visual impact. This exclusive diverter ensures a reduction in bird mortality due to collisions with the most innovative and simple installation system on the market.
Characteristics
It does not affect the line conditions due to its lightness. It folds in the direction of the wind under moderate or extreme conditions.
Installation on ground wires, and on conductors up to 90 kV and, exceptionally, up 132kV.
High-quality materials to prevent aging. Resistant to extreme weather conditions: remains unchanged from -50º to 100º C.
Available in black, orange, and photoluminescent versions.
The diverters provide maximum visibility to birds thanks to the photoluminescent and reflective central bands. There is also a fully luminescent version available. For guarantees of photoluminescence, please consult us.

BAX Diverter
A bird diverter system developed by SAPREM to prevent bird collisions with ground wires and conductors up to 90 kV.
Its design complies with RD 1432/2008 (Spain) and incorporates reflective/catadioptric elements, which provide great anti-collision effectiveness, as well as ground-level installation, greatly increasing the effectiveness and safety for Linemen.
Characteristics
Its light weight (155 grams) design does not impact line conditions. It folds with the wind under moderate or extreme conditions.
Installation from the ground level on ground wires or conductors up to 90 kV.
Ground-level installation enables faster and more effective assembly, improving installation speed and safety with fewer linemen.
This exclusive design complies with RD 1432/2008 (Spain), of August 29, which establishes measures for the protection of birds against collision and electrocution on high-voltage power lines.

Its diverse movements (spins and swings) generate flashes from the reflective panels, enhancing effectiveness.

SAPREM has developed two versions of beacons -BACH and Rotating – that combine the effectiveness of avian protection and the safety of the linemen during installation and maintenance work.
Regarding the un-installation of diverters, SAPREM designs can be removed automatically.
For both installation and un-installation, SAPREM offers proprietary robots that allow work to be carried out semi-automatically or automatically. These robots can be controlled using drone technology.
INSTALLATION
An exclusive system that guarantees the safety of linemen, increases installation efficiency and speed, and is compatible with both the Rotating Diverters and the BACH Diverters.
Characteristics and Advantages
LINEMEN SAFETY DOES NOT DEPEND ON THE INTEGRITY OF THE CABLE /WIRE.Using this system ensures the safety of the operator, as they do not need to access and suspend linemen from the cable to install the diverters. The personnel work at ground level, eliminating the danger that, in the event of a cable break, there would be no way to secure the worker during the task.
HIGHER INSTALLATION RATE WITH FEWER OPERATORS.
Los robots de SAPREM logran aumentar la eficacia de los trabajos de instalación permitiendo una cadencia de montaje superior. Para realizarlos se requieren menor número de operarios que para la instalación manual. Además, con el robot es muy versátil ya que sirve para instalar los dos diseños SAPREM – balizas Giratorias y BACH.

The robot can be used to install both SAPREM designs – Rotating Diverters and BACH Diverters.
It can work on:
- Ground wire with the line under tension. This requires the same protocols and safety procedures required for “Live-Line Work” and “Proximity Work” on live power lines.
